Ukrainian Public Archives is a not-for-profit organization that aims to collect public archives, mostly primary sources involving issues surrounding Ukraine and present them in a visual way. This logo represents the input/output nature of the process. It also is in black and white in order to remain timeless and unbiased. Also, if you look carefully, "UPA" --the acronym for Ukrainian Public Archives-- can be found amongst the shapes.
While brainstorming for this we began to identify problems with the existing plan. There was no way for my client to obtain the amount of sources we needed for that type of archival site. I began to redefine the problem to create traveling exhibit with a simple web solution and social media to outline it's themes. One of the main points of the exhibit is to promote the idea of accessing primary sources before news sources in order to obtain unbiased information. The exhibit will display primary sources from Ukraine and align them with corresponding news sources in order to allow others to see how bias journalism can warp the way facts can be interpreted.

I am currently designing an plan to promote local beer sales at at Weeds Tavern. Weeds is a small neighborhood bar in Chicago that proudly serves local craft beer. I noticed that many craft beer drinkers would overlook some of the smaller local brew taps because they are too unfamiliar. Too often people were ordering the more mainstream beers. As an effort to change this, I decided to create a three part social media campaign for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Marcela's Kitchen is a family restaurant that proudly serves traditional American comfort food in a trendy atmosphere. The goal of this project was to solve organizational issues with menu content, and present the menu in a way that breakfast and lunch could fit on one menu --Breakfast as one spread, and lunch as another spread--- while creating a layout that fit with the traditional but contemporary vibe of the restaurant.
In the first direction I used a colored background that borrowed from the colors of the interiors of the restaurant. The forms are meant to be an abstracted representation of breakfast food (bacon and eggs). The brush strokes are meant to reflect the painterly aspect of Marcela's Kitchen since the table-tops display renowned works of art. In the second direction I aimed to integrate the logo, and pushed some of the brush strokes so they acted as a border rather than a background. The final solution was requested in black and white due to budgeting issues.

Agent Spot is a start-up web platform that aims to connect people who want to sell their homes/property to qualified agents. Similar to yelp, the agents will be reviewed by sellers, making the process of finding the right agent convenient for the seller. My role is to create a name, identity, logo and assist with designing a strategy to build a network of users. The final logo solution is in progress.
